About the Position 

As a Senior Software Developer, you will: 

  • Analyze, design, and develop Information Systems and interfaces using various programming environments, applying agile methodologies. 

  • Offer technical expertise, guidance, training, and support for existing systems. 

  • Manage data capture, design, storage, retrieval, and manipulation for business intelligence. 

  • Adhere to practices in incident, problem, change, and configuration management. 

  • Maintain and develop technical knowledge to support TASkeno’s systems. 

  • Build relationships with stakeholders to address business needs and contribute to projects. 

  • Document and maintain comprehensive technical documentation. 

  • Drive continuous improvement of systems and processes. 

  • Oversee projects from conception to completion. 

 

About You 

You are a collaborative and skilled Software Engineer with: 

  • A relevant Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related field. 

  • Proficiency in Visual Studio, C#, client application development (e.g., Blazor), APIs, SQL Server, Azure technologies, Databricks, MS Fabric, Power BI, and Dynamics 365. 

  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD. 

  • Proven experience with service-oriented architectures. 

  • IT Service Management (ITSM) certifications (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) are desirable. 

  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum principles. 

  • Experience with tools such as Jira. 

  • Strong understanding of database design principles and documentation requirements. 

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. 

  • Strong research, problem-solving, and analytical skills. 

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage your own time. 

  • The ability to obtain a Tasmanian Gaming Commission Technician “A” license.
